The house exudes grandeur without resorting to conventional opulence, capturing attention from the street. A low-height boundary fence allows for unobstructed views of the facade, creating a seamless visual experience at a human scale. The elongated driveway leads to a detached car park, enhancing the stately ambiance of the facade. Departing from the norms of our region, this project opts for a metallic fence instead of a solid boundary wall and positions the porch away from the building line, emphasizing the fascia and eliminating visual barriers. The elevated design of the building serves a dual purpose. The steps and ramp leading to the entrance enhance the splendor and provide a delightful arrival experience, overlooking the well-maintained lawn. Additionally, it enhances the livability of the basement floor by welcoming ample natural light and ventilation. The use of bush-hammered native grey stone imbues a modern appeal, enveloping the entire building with deliberate moments of visual interest through the installation of metal trellises and screens, breaking up the uniformity. A precise balance of beige, grey, white, and black hues creates a harmonious blend of textures and colors. The earthy tone of the facade seamlessly flows into the interior spaces, where subtle beige and nude tones dominate the bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas. The double-height entrance opens up to a well-lit lobby, drawing in light through the double-height windows. Slab perforations have been strategically designed to allow light transmission and establish a visual connection between floors. The backyard provides dual access to the house, connecting to the back street and offering practicality, especially for back-of-house usage.
