A walk through this house gives a holiday home feel thoroughly imbibing the senses in a gratifying spatial experience. Envisaged in minimalism, the sleek straight lines are infused with textures and hues in the range of browns, greens, and copper permeating warmth throughout the interior spaces. The space requirements of the occupants have been carefully housed on four functional levels leaving ample room for pleasurable spaces. Natural light penetrates the house through double-height spaces and sunken and open courts. The pool is envisioned to be central, positioned outdoors allowing the sunlight to bounce off the water's surface. The sights and sounds of the water are part of a normal day in the lives of the occupants traversing through the house. The spaces used in daily routines flow beautifully into each other. The breakfast and dining area are flanked by the Zen Garden on one side and the pool and living area on the other. The double-loaded staircase heads straight onto the first floor from the living area and lands into the basement from the outside; overlooking the pool both ways. The window openings and double heights are integrated for a better porosity conducive to passive cross ventilation and help keep the house cooler in summer yet encourage light in to brighten up the interior with minimum dependence on artificial light during the day.
