Rashid, came to Architecture by way of Art. He joined Designer East after graduating with Distinction from the National College of Arts in 1993. In 2007, he co-founded SRDW with Saad Mehmood Khan. Motivated by his deep interest in sustainability, Rashid co-founded the Pakistan Green Building Council (PGBC). PGBC is a recognized member of the World Green Building Council, focusing on sustainable buildings, energy, and water efficiency. Rashid initiated the first Platinum-certified Eco-House in Pakistan. In addition to his architectural pursuits, he actively shares his expertise through engaging lectures, impactful publications, and serving as a thesis juror at various esteemed universities. Rashid’s passion for design extends to curating a nationwide book featuring top interior designers. He is an international juror from Pakistan for the Nippon Paints sponsored ASIA YOUNG DESIGNERS AWARD-AYDA covering all the major Asian countries. In July 2019, Rashid served as a jury member for the IIL – IAP (Institute of Architects Pakistan) and conducted NAYA PAKISTAN low-cost housing design competition
